The complete renovation and installation of a new HVAC system and chill water cooled air handling equipment. All work took place after hours in the elevator penthouse mechanical room. The installation was very challenging. The only access to the elevator machine room was up a narrow ships ladder. The new chilled water air handling equipment was completely dismantled into its simplest component pieces and hand carried up the ship ladder and reassembled in place. Additionally, the work space was very confined and safety was the primary concern at all times due to the proximity of operational and open 460 volt single phase elevator equipment control panels. The only time during the project that these control panels were take of line was for one day for the demolition phase. All work we completed on schedule.
