The Cross Country Elementary & Middle School project consisted of the construction of a new three-story, 94,239-square-foot educational facility designed to serve approximately 740 students and 79 staff members in the Baltimore, Maryland area. Developed with a goal of achieving LEED Silver certification, the building incorporates modern learning environments, energy-conscious design considerations, and flexible spaces that support both elementary and middle school programs. The facility includes technology and media centers, collaboration areas, art and music education spaces, classrooms, administrative support areas, and shared common spaces intended to promote student engagement and accommodate a wide range of academic and extracurricular activities.
Doyle Systems' Scope of Work:
As part of the Cross Country Elementary & Middle School project, Doyle Systems delivered a comprehensive plumbing scope that supported the facility’s domestic water, natural gas, sanitary waste, grease drainage, and storm drainage systems. Work included insulation, water sterilization, and the installation of more than 200 plumbing fixtures serving classrooms, restrooms, kitchen areas, utility spaces, and common areas. The scope also included key plumbing equipment such as two gas water heaters, a gas booster pump, a 1,500-gallon grease interceptor, an inline water purifier, and an elevator sump pump.
