Project Summary:
The Wegmans #115 Tysons Corner project delivered a 93,213-square-foot grocery store designed to serve the surrounding Tysons community. The facility includes a full-service retail grocery level supported by a third-floor mechanical penthouse housing the hydronic heating and cooling infrastructure for the building’s air handling systems. Despite pandemic-related supply chain disruptions, Doyle Systems successfully completed the project within the scheduled year through close coordination, proactive planning, and disciplined execution.
Doyle Systems' Scope of Work:
Doyle Systems provided a complete mechanical systems installation for the project, including central chilled water, condenser water, and hot water systems serving the building’s HVAC infrastructure. Major equipment included ten Carrier 45-ton modular water-cooled scroll chillers, Aerco high-efficiency boilers, associated pumps, air separators, fan coil units, unit heaters, and air curtains. The team also installed approximately 3,887 linear feet of insulated hydronic piping for chilled water, hot water, and condenser water distribution, including glycol water treatment to support long-term system performance.
